Privacy Policy

TankDiary for iOS · Last updated: July 2026

The short version: TankDiary collects no data. None.

What we collect

Nothing. TankDiary has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporters, and no server. The app does not transmit your tanks, readings, photos, or anything else off your device.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter — tanks, water parameters, maintenance history, livestock, journal entries, and photos — is stored locally on your iPhone. You can export it at any time as CSV files or as a single backup file, and those exports go only where you choose to send them.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Photos

When you attach a photo, TankDiary asks for add-only photo access through the system photo picker. Selected photos are copied into the app's local storage on your device. The app never scans your photo library.

Notifications

Maintenance reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push servers are involved.

Children

TankDiary does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes

If a future feature ever changes any of the above (for example, optional iCloud sync via your personal Apple account), this policy will be updated before that feature ships.
